Bowie State wrapped up Inauguration Week with a black-tie gala, consisting of dinner and entertainment, to benefit the Racing to Excellence Endowed Scholarship. The entertainment was headlined by R&B and funk legends, The S.O.S. Band. Rayne was contracted to provide stage lighting, audio visual, and decor. The stage lighting and sound was supported by a 36ft truss rigged to a vertical ground support system. Media, consisting of two IMAG cameras, powerpoint slides and videos, was projected with two 7k HD Christie projectors on 16' x 9' projection screens flanking the stage. Uplighting, red carpet, 300 black chiavaris and pipe and drape were installed to enhance the event space.
