Gobos enhance design by creating great visuals on walls, floors, backdrops and other scenic elements. They can even be used in place of scenery. The appearance of the image can be affected and/or enhanced through the use of color filters and the angle and focus of the light being used, allowing for
additional design flexibility.
Showtime offers custom gobos in stainless steel, black &
white glass, or color glass. Each custom gobo is unique and
requires excellent communication, knowledge, experience,
and coordination to produce. We will insure that every
detail and specification is met when designing your custom gobo.
Glass Gobos vs. Steel Gobos
Glass gobos project clear, crisp detailed photos, images, or logos that require specific color matches or gray scale without "bridging". Metal gobos require "bridging" which connect the lines necessary to maintain the overall appearance and integrity of the image.
Uplighting is typically seen as a "nice to have" for most event planners as
opposed to an essential decor element. However, nothing brings out the "oohs and aahs" and produces the "wow factor" the way that uplighting does. But what is uplighting? Uplighting is simply the effect of color washing a room with beams of colored light strategically placed around the base of each positioned to shine upwards towards the ceiling. Showtime uses LED light fixtures for uplighting that can be programmed by a DMX controller to run through different scenes to coincide with the different parts of an event or have your uplighting cycle through different colors through the night.
Some think that uplighting with a custom gobo is the end all be all for special events. However, let Rayne Events introduce you to textured lighting. Textured lighting is the use of breakup patterned gobos to project random patterns of light and shades on a large area. Textured lighting can be used on the walls, the ceiling, and or the dance floor.
Pin spotting is the use of low beam angle light fixtures to highlight specific features or areas of a special event. Most commonly, pinspots are used to highlight wedding cakes or table centerpieces and are mounted high up on light stand or trusses or from ceiling hardware.
Moving Heads "Party/ Disco Lights"
Moving head party lights, such as the ones used by Rayne,, are fixtures used to project images(gobos)
and colored beams of light in a particular area of a
special event, most commonly the dance floor.
Sometimes referred to as intelligent lighting, moving
heads are the cream of the crop when it comes to
creating an atmosphere for dancing and are used in
high end clubs and live stage performances all over
